A Nevin Hensinger picture from the Sandy Leiby collection.

Let’s cool off during this heat wave with a 1924 winter’s view from South Laurel Street, looking down to Park Avenue (what is now East Main Street). Picture was taken by the late Nevin Hensinger of Kutztown.

Currently the site of the Dewy Meadow Foods, Inc. and previously housing RADIUS, this building originally operated as the Haeffner-Dietrich Feed Mill when it was built in 1863. In 1943, it became Beck’s Feed & Grain. Today it is owned by Wilmer Beck’s grandson, Paul Wagner, son of the late J. Richard Wagner and his wife Jean (Beck) Wagner. Welcome back to Kutztown, Paul.
