Important Information

1/22/26: The weather forecast indicates a significant snowstorm that is expected to impact Kutztown from Sunday through Monday. We anticipate declaring a Snow Emergency and are awaiting updated forecast information before formally identifying the affected routes. Once declared, parking will be prohibited on designated Snow Emergency Routes. These routes are posted. Residents are encouraged to begin planning now for alternative parking arrangements.

Residents will be notified of the Snow Emergency declaration through this website, Kutztown Police Facebook page, WFMZ, and the Borough’s Regroup Mass Notification System.  To sign up for the notification system, CLICK HERE.

In addition, trash collection could be cancelled, on Monday, depending on the amount of snow. Please check back for updates.

1/6/26: The driveway between Borough Hall and the old Public Works building will be fenced off and closed, from Railroad Street to the fuel pumps, for construction until further notice. Access to the yard waste dumpster is from Roeller Alley.

A VOLUNTARY WATER USE RESTRICTION for all residents has been issued due to low rainfall totals and well levels dropping. Please keep all water usage to essential uses when possible, and limit activities such as watering lawns and gardens or washing cars.
