International Pen Pal Program Between Kutztown, PA, and Altrip Germany!
The pen pal program is the first step in fostering a sense of community between our town and Altrip, Germany. Adults and children ages 12 and up can register for the program here.
Important Information
1/23/26: A CLASS “B” SNOW EMERGENCY for the Borough of Kutztown has been declared effective on Saturday, January 23, from 6pm, until Monday, January 25, at 4pm. Vehicles parked on snow emergency routes will be ticketed and/or towed. For a list of snow emergency routes, go to https://www.kutztownboro.org/dep…/publicworks/snow-notice/
Time limit and permit parking will not be enforced until Wednesday, January 27. Motorists may use those areas not in the emergency route to park during that time period.
In addition, trash collection could be cancelled, on Monday, depending on the amount of snow. Please check back for updates.
1/6/26: The driveway between Borough Hall and the old Public Works building will be fenced off and closed, from Railroad Street to the fuel pumps, for construction until further notice. Access to the yard waste dumpster is from Roeller Alley.
A VOLUNTARY WATER USE RESTRICTION for all residents has been issued due to low rainfall totals and well levels dropping. Please keep all water usage to essential uses when possible, and limit activities such as watering lawns and gardens or washing cars.
